Dr. Berlinda Nguyen is a compassionate, trilingual optometrist fluent in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish. Originally from San Diego, she earned her Biology degree with a minor in Spanish at San Diego State University before completing her Doctor of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences. While in school, she served as vice president of the Lions Club student body and helped organize outreach efforts that delivered vision screenings and preventative eye care to underserved communities—an experience that deepened her commitment to accessible care. Today, she brings that same drive into her first year of practice, where she enjoys making lasting connections with patients and supporting their long-term eye health. Her clinical interests include binocular vision and ocular disease, and she has a natural talent for identifying what patients need to feel seen, understood, and cared for. Outside of the office, Dr. Nguyen practices yoga, reads fantasy novels, and plays board games with her two elderly dachshunds—both of whom believe the world revolves around treats and nap time.
